Joel's sister Jeny, her husband Jon and their cute boys Miles and Will came up and spent Memorial Weekend with us. I felt bad for them coming from the warm St. George weather to our barely above freezing weather that weekend. But we still had lots of fun with them despite the weather. Saturday we went to a couple parks and let the kids play and go on a picnic. During our lovely attempt of a picnic that resulted in a plate of food being blown into Madalyn's face we decided it was time to pack up and head home.
Zoo
The next day we took the kids to the Zoo. It was kind of nice because of the weather it was not crowded at all. The kids were so excited to see all the animals, ride the train and carousel.
Thomas the Tank Engine
Memorial Day we loaded the kids up and headed to Heber to go see and ride Thomas. This is the event the kids were most excited about all weekend. I don't know if Lukas has rubbed off on Maddie or its the lack of girly toys in our house, but she LOVES Thomas. It was a little crowded so the kids lots their wits about them a few times with the long lines. But we all survived!
We love spending time with Jon and Jeny. They are some of our favorite people and wished we all could live a little closer so we could hang out more often. But we always enjoy the times we get to spend with them and we were so glad they came up for a visit!
