Happy Birthday!

Lukas had his FIRST Birthday yesterday! And while most parents can't believe how fast time has gone, I am more amazed at all that has happened in the past year:
*We brought him home to a new house and now we are renting a condo in WYOMING (I am not complaining, I promise!)
*Joel and I were both working full time, and now I hang out with Lukas everyday and Joel has learned a new job in a new hospital
*Lukas took his first airplane ride to the east coast and got to play in the ocean for the first time
*Weighed 7 lbs 3 oz at birth to 23 lbs at one year
*Went from newborn size diapers to size 6 (where do we find size 7 by the way??)
*Wore newborn clothes for a minute, now wears 24 months or 2T
But most importantly in Lukas' first year of life we have gone from this...To this...

Cupcakes Kenna and I made for everyone

UGLY cake
(good thing Lukas didn't care what it looked like)

First cupcake

He enjoyed every minute of it!

Ended up in the sink so we could hose him down.

All and all it was a great day, thanks for the phone calls and text messages wishing Lukas a happy birthday.
