Cowboy Days

Our Cowboy Days celebration started a little early this year. Casey from Channel 2 News came up on Thursday before Labor Day weekend and did a special on Evanston's Cowboy Days. He did some funny stuff, interviewed my dad and had a few kids do mutton bustin on tv. Lukas was so excited to ride the sheep, he just didn't understand that he was the one that had to hang on. The picture is blurry but you get the idea.

On Sunday they had kids games. Lukas and Ashlyn had a good time shooting each other with the water guns. I didn't get any good pictures of Lukas at the fish catch, but Joel's dad did, so I will post them when I get them. Uncle Josh caught Lukas a HUGE fish, he loved it!

This is one good lookin' red neck group. We are just waiting for the rodeo to start. Lukas had to keep his pant legs pulled up so everyone could see his John Deere boots. He would not let us pull his pant legs down through the entire rodeo.

Then we topped off the weekend with the parade on Monday.
