A nice BIG mess!!

Now onto a few more fun adventures... Lukas has turned into a monkey. He thinks he can stand all by himself and climb onto everything, the result is always the same, a new bruise, scrape or cut. This is the latest, a nice black eye. This kid is so wild! I know I wished for a boy, but really he will not hold still for anything!

Lukas has also turned into quite the daddy's boy. I don't know if it is because of Joel's new working schedule or what, but he just wants his dad right by his side at all times. This is one of my favorite pictures, because it totally is how Lukas is with his daddy, he keeps a grip on him to make sure Joel can not go anywhere without him.

And now a little update about the monster boy's parents :) Joel turned the BIG 3 0 in February. I wanted to do something a little out of the ordinary, because 30 is kind of a big deal! But for those of you that know Joel, he is not a big fan of birthdays and he really hates being the center of attention or having anyone make a big fuss over him. So a surprise party was out of the picture or any kind of party for that matter. I knew he really wanted to go to the Jazz vs Celtics game, but with his new work schedule he knew he was not going to be able to go. With a little help from his boss and co-workers that were able to rearrange some things, and thanks to my mom for helping with Lukas, we pulled off the big surprise. Joel was so excited and there was nothing better I could have given him. I know tickets to a basketball game might not seem like a very exciting birthday, but for the sports fanatic that my husband is, it was the perfect gift. It was a great game other than the Celtics lost in the last few seconds of the game. We had a great time. We were also able to spent the night in Salt Lake after the game and I think the best thing was we were able to sleep in and have a nice meal and enjoy a converstation with one another without a cute little boy interrupting us!
